Campaign Consulting Services
Is your nonprofit on the cusp of major change?
We’ll guide you through every step of the intensive capital (or comprehensive) campaign
planning process.
You’re ready to build a new building or launch a major initiative. Your board is excited and wants to begin a capital campaign yesterday.
Our campaign readiness process sets you up for success. It includes four key components which we would be happy to discuss with you:
The fundraising assessment identifies strengths and gaps in Development, then recommends how to fill those gaps to ready your organization for a campaign. (More on assessments here.)
Pre-planning components include a campaign working dollar goal, the campaign case for support draft, a gift table, paths to goal, and more.
The campaign working group launches. This small but mighty group will drive the campaign’s daily work.
Campaign 101 education is delivered to your board and staff.
Campaign Readiness
Now it’s time to test the groundwork laid during the campaign readiness phase.
Standardized interviews with numerous donors, potential donors, and board members gain feedback about the case draft, your working goal, and your organization as a whole.
The feasibility report synthesizes interview results into valuable data and insights such as case for support feedback, new prospects, how much certain donors plan to give, working goal validation, and perceptions of your mission.
The campaign committee forms. These individuals will publicly champion the campaign, make lead gifts, connect you with new prospects, and assist with solicitations.
Campaign Feasibility
Campaign Plan
We’ll work with you, your campaign committee, and your board to create and finalize a campaign plan that reflects everything discovered from the campaign readiness and feasibility study phases.
This comprehensive campaign playbook will include concrete materials ranging from prospect pipelines to gift intention forms to campaign policies and procedures.
The “Quiet” Phase
We prefer to call this the Key Donors phase because early campaign fundraising is anything but quiet. It’s very focused on deepening relationships with and soliciting major or lead campaign gifts.
Before your campaign launches publicly, you will have spoken with, cultivated, solicited, and secured many generous gifts.
We help you with the pipeline development, strategy, and approaches for each of these donors.
Coaching
We provide ongoing coaching throughout every phase of campaign planning. Once the above steps are completed, most clients continue to partner with us through a monthly coaching retainer so that we can help guide major solicitations, campaign kickoff, the public phase, and the celebration.
